Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Frostline Outdoor Lighting website and the services provided by Frostline Outdoor Lighting ("Frostline Outdoor Lighting," "we," "us," or "our").

By requesting or purchasing services from Frostline Outdoor Lighting, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

Frostline Outdoor Lighting provides Christmas light installation, removal, and storage services for residential and other properties.

Specific services, materials, pricing, and work to be completed will be outlined in the customer's quote or service agreement.

2. Quotes and Estimates

Quotes are based on the information available to us at the time the quote is prepared.

A quote may change if:

  • The scope of work changes

  • Additional materials or equipment are required

  • The property conditions differ substantially from what was originally represented

  • Additional work is requested by the customer

Any significant change in price or scope will be communicated to the customer before the additional work is completed whenever reasonably possible.

A quote does not constitute a binding agreement to perform the work until the customer accepts the quote and the service is scheduled.

3. Scheduling

Installation and removal dates are scheduled based on availability, weather, property conditions, and other operational considerations.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting may need to reschedule work due to unsafe weather, hazardous conditions, equipment issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

4. Weather and Safety

Christmas light installation and removal may require working at heights and around electrical equipment.

We reserve the right to postpone, modify, or stop work when weather or property conditions create an unsafe working environment.

Examples may include heavy rain, snow, ice, strong winds, lightning, or other hazardous conditions.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing reasonable access to the property and areas where work is being performed

  • Informing us of known hazards or conditions that could affect the work

  • Ensuring that electrical outlets intended for the lighting display are accessible and suitable for use

  • Removing or securing items that could interfere with installation

  • Informing us about any relevant property restrictions or requirements

The customer must not interfere with, alter, move, or disconnect installed lighting or equipment without contacting Frostline Outdoor Lighting when doing so could affect the installation.

6. Electrical Requirements

The customer is responsible for providing access to suitable electrical power unless otherwise agreed.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting does not perform electrical work outside the scope of the lighting installation service.

If an electrical outlet, circuit, wiring, or other electrical component appears unsafe or unsuitable, we may decline to connect the lighting display until the issue has been addressed by an appropriately qualified professional.

7. Customer-Supplied Lights and Materials

If a customer provides their own lights, clips, extension cords, or other materials, Frostline Outdoor Lighting is not responsible for defects, failures, incompatibility, or premature failure of customer-supplied products.

Customer-supplied products may be inspected for obvious issues before installation. This inspection does not constitute a guarantee that the products are safe or defect-free.

8. Installation and Property

We take reasonable care when installing and removing Christmas lights.

However, installation may involve attaching clips or other materials to roofs, gutters, fascia, siding, railings, trees, or other structures.

The customer acknowledges that minor marks, wear, existing-condition issues, or other effects associated with installation or removal may occur.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting is not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions that were not caused by our work.

We will not intentionally cause damage to property and will take reasonable precautions to minimize the risk of damage.

9. Changes to the Scope of Work

Requests for additional lights, different installation locations, additional materials, or other changes may result in additional charges.

Additional work will be discussed with the customer before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.

10. Removal of Lights

Customers are responsible for ensuring that Frostline Outdoor Lighting has reasonable access to the property when removal services are scheduled.

Removal dates may be affected by weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

11. Storage

If the customer purchases our light-storage service, the specific storage terms, pricing, and duration will be provided as part of the service agreement or invoice.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting will take reasonable care when handling and storing customer-owned lighting products.

We are not responsible for defects or damage that existed before the products were placed into storage.

12. Payment

Payment terms and the total amount owing will be provided on the customer's quote or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due according to the payment terms stated on the invoice.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting reserves the right to suspend or delay additional services where an account remains unpaid.

13. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Customers may request cancellation or rescheduling by contacting Frostline Outdoor Lighting as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on the timing of the cancellation and whether materials, labour, or other costs have already been committed, cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply if specified in the customer's quote or service agreement.

14. Service Issues

If you believe there is an issue with an installation, please contact Frostline Outdoor Lighting as soon as reasonably possible.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to correct problems caused by our work.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Frostline Outdoor Lighting will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.

16. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and current.

However, website content, service descriptions, availability, pricing, photographs, and other information may change without notice.

Website content does not replace the terms contained in an individual customer's quote, invoice, or service agreement.

17. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party websites.

18. Privacy

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable British Columbia and Canadian law.

Frostline Outdoor Lighting may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised "Last updated" date.
